Clients are only charged weekly rates, not a day-to-day charge. Pro-rates only applies when Locatiosn are Closed or when MIGYT not available for scheduled service. Also charges are subject to change when it's more than one rider per house with a weekly charge.
A.M Pick-up: Please be ready 5 minutes before scheduled pick-up time. On the arrival the driver has 3 minutes to wait for passenger(s) to come out unless contact was made. If rider missed their ride the driver may double back and retrieve the rider as long as it is not affecting the schedule of other pick-ups. P.M Pick-up: On arrival if rider not at meeting spot, driver must contact Passenger or Guardian before driving off, if so may result as a No-Show. Please see Cancellation and No-Shows for more details.
A.M Drop-offs: Passengers that are 1-6 yrs. old will need someone to meet at drop-off locations at vehicle unless otherwise has an older sibling who can assist with child destination. P.M Drop-off: Please make sure someone is present for when young riders 3-6 yrs old arrives on location unless otherwise they're with older sibling. If parent or someone listed on form is not present to retrieve rider, driver may contact parents or emergency contact for assistance. We do not do last minute destinations changes; however we do what we can to provide a safe location for a drop-off as long as the request from parents is not on going. If so, this may cause for an Termination of Ride Service.
Unfortunately, the unexpected can occur and things can happen to cause No-Shows or Cancelations. A No-show is determined when the rider is no longer at the pickup location and MIGYT arrived and has to call Passenger and Parent seeking whereabouts with no reply. After waiting 15 minutes with no answer, the driver may continue to drive off site to keep scheduled service. The service amount (the trip amount) is still applicable due to the fact MIGYT arrived at the designated location of service plus a fee of $25 will be presented on the following invoice. A Canceled Ride is when Parent or Guardian calls MIGYT one hour prior to schedule time to inform driver that the rider may not be available for service on that date. When done appropriately may avoid any delays confusions, however charges still stands. When not appropriately done your service may be at risk of termination if it becomes a chronic request. Passengers are not allowed nor responsible to give canceled days to driver it is the parent/guardian responsibility to contact MIGYT for any changes. Drivers are responsible to keep a schedule to get all riders to their destination in a timely manner. Remember that this ride service is a shared service which means others are also depending on this service too. Therefore, if any delays due to lack of communication may affect other pick-ups and drop-offs that drivers are also responsible for. Communication is very important. Canceled rides and No-Shows are limited to 3 per scheduled year. Exceeding over the limit may result in Termination of Ride Service!
MIGYT will be in service the day before and after each major holiday. Remember we're not school based but an as needed transportation service provider for youth, which means when school's out we are still in service. We provide service on most holidays other than Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Years Days. We provide service the day before and after the above major holidays. All other holidays service will be available however, time of availability may be affected. Contact MIGYT for more information.
As we all know Chicago weather can sometimes be harsh and closures can occur. If there's any closings please allow MIGYT know immediately! Some closings may not relate to all riders so please stay informative. If weather is hazardous or not permitted to drive, MIGYT will close until further notice. Please be aware if able to operate vehicles we will provide service according to the conditions of weather. MIGYT #1 goal is Safety First! This may cause delays for pick-ups and drop-offs so please be patient and you may contact the driver to reassure ETA. It is important for rider to remain at pick-up location to receive service. If any changes please don't hesitate to call MIGYT to avoid confusions and any fees that may occur due to lack of communication.
MIGYT clients are charged on a weekly basis at the beginning of the week (Mondays) Which means that if we are available to provide you service, we will be able to charge the whole amount for that week. (The amount may change only if fees are applied from prior week or cancels are scheduled.) If whenever payment's late, please don't hesitate to contact MIGYT immediately to avoid cancel of service. An automatic cancel of service may happen if no communication was made about late payment. If late payments are made consistently every week, it will be determined to Cancel Service. Any payments after Monday is considered late. If you have an issue about payment due days, please express that to MIGYT. Overall when payments are not received on due day there will be a late fee of $5 and will be applied to next payment invoice. MIGYT is only "pro-rating" payments when locations are closed or not available. We are not charging per day so as long as we are able to provide service we will only charge PER WEEK. Example: If you cancel a scheduled paid MIGYT ride you will still be entitled for making that payment for the ride due to the fact MIGYT was available. This is why we encourage families to let MIGYT know about any cancellations or changes prior to making your weekly payments. If location is not open or child can't gain entry at drop-off location, driver after talking to parents/guardian or emergency contacts will return to last location or another close location on which additional service fees may not be charged. Families with multiple youths will be charged $2 per extra Child. Multiple locations will include additional $2 per mile from first designated drop-off location. None scheduled pick-ups are starting $25 per ride. (may change do to miles)
